Rail Track Lubrication System
Smart, Scalable, and Reliable Lubrication for Modern Rail Networks
This advanced rail curve lubrication system is designed for high-performance, low-maintenance operation in demanding rail environments. Built to support medium to large-scale track networks, it delivers consistent lubrication at precise intervals, reducing rail and wheel wear while minimizing lubricant waste. The system architecture allows for extensive coverage, integration with plant control systems, and remote performance monitoring.

Coverage & Scalability
The system uses a dual-bar configuration—one lubrication bar per rail—capable of servicing up to 2.5 miles (4 km) of curved track. A single centralized pump station can operate up to 12 independent curve zones, depending on curvature radius, layout, and wear requirements.
Each curve can be equipped with either:
-
Dedicated vibration sensors for train detection at individual bars, or
-
A shared sensor capable of simultaneously triggering multiple lubrication bars.
The modular design supports expansion and customization, allowing additional lubrication bars per curve when required.
Lubricant Delivery & Monitoring
-
The system incorporates a laser-based grease level sensor, which provides continuous real-time monitoring of reservoir levels with percentage-based display.
-
Grease is delivered with high precision, reducing over-application and environmental contamination.
-
A 50 kg grease reservoir supports lubrication intervals of up to 6 months, depending on usage patterns and operating conditions.
-
System supports lubricants up to NLGI Grade 2.

Control & Diagnostics
The system includes an integrated PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) with a PROFINET communication interface, supporting seamless integration with plant automation systems. PROFIBUS compatibility is also available for legacy or mixed-infrastructure environments.
Remote access to system parameters, grease levels, and error diagnostics is available via:
-
3G (SIM-enabled)
-
Wi-Fi
-
Ethernet (with Internet access)
A secure, password-protected web server interface enables system monitoring and configuration from any authorized device.
The system logs all operational data, including lubricant usage, cycle counts, and fault history, supporting performance analysis and predictive maintenance planning.
Power Supply & Redundancy
-
A built-in 4-hour battery backup ensures continued operation in the event of main power or solar supply failure.
-
The system automatically triggers alerts for:
-
Power loss
-
Sensor failure
-
Critical system errors
-
Lubricant depletion or maintenance requirements
