Frac Pump Packing Lubrication
Inconsistent lubrication of frac pump packings leads to overuse, uneven distribution, and premature wear. Industrial Autolube’s system uses an electric Bravo pump to deliver ¼ the lubricant of conventional oil systems — with superior control.
A SMX series progressive divider valve ensures equal lubricant delivery to each packing cavity, eliminating starvation caused by pressure differentials.
To prevent over-pressurization, the system includes a return relief assembly. If packing pressure exceeds 1,500 psi, excess grease is vented back to the pump, triggering a pressure switch that signals the PLC to reduce pump output and protect components.
Wireline Lubrication — Unique, Effective Solutions
Wireline operations face a recurring issue: rubber plugs in the wellhead degrade due to constant wire abrasion. Without proper lubrication, friction accelerates plug wear, increasing downtime and replacement costs.
Industrial Autolube has developed a custom wireline lubrication solution that applies a controlled amount of oil directly at the seal as the wire passes through. A specialized felt-lined applicator remains saturated with oil, and as the wireline moves at speeds up to 900 feet per minute, it picks up just enough oil to reduce friction, extending the life of the plug and ensuring smoother operation.

Blender Auger Bearing Lubrication
Blender augers are critical for moving abrasive sand into mixing bins, but they operate in a highly contaminated environment. Sand buildup around the auger bearings quickly destroys seals and shortens bearing life.
Industrial Autolube systems address this with a targeted grease delivery system that not only lubricates the bearings but also flushes abrasive debris away from the seals. While only a small amount of grease is needed for bearing lubrication, the system is designed to deliver 8 to 12 times more to effectively purge contaminants.
This solution has reduced some operators’ bearing failures from 20 sets per year to zero, increasing bearing life by up to 6 times and virtually eliminating unscheduled downtime related to seal failure.
